ASSIGNMENT

 

Hodes Weill Securities, LLC acted as strategic financial advisor to Wrightwood Capital LLC (“Wrightwood”) in connection with the sale of its investment platform to Ares Management LLC (“Ares”). Wrightwood was a finance company and fund manager, specializing in middle market originations of commercial real estate debt, with a strong credit and origination capability. Ares is a global alternative asset manager that was interested in expanding its debt platform by adding specific real estate expertise.

 

OUTCOME/RESULTS

Hodes Weill advised Wrightwood in connection with a strategic analysis of available growth options and assisted in executing its sale to Ares. The transaction resulted in more than 40 Wrightwood professionals joining the Ares Private Debt Group where they continue to focus on middle-market lending in the commercial real estate sector. In addition, all of Wrightwood’s commercial real estate assets and sponsored funds were contributed to the Ares Commercial Real Estate platform.
