Hodes Weill: Institutional investors set to raise real estate allocations

Institutional investors are raising their allocations to commercial real estate, with steady increases over the past few years, according to a report from Hodes Weill & Associates.

In its latest real estate allocations monitor, the advisory found that institutional investors’ average target allocations to the asset class reached 10.4% in 2018, up 30 basis points from 2017 and 150 basis points from 2013. The findings were based on a survey of 208 institutional investors across 29 countries representing $11trn.
